Year 9 and 10 Art Make Up students, started this pop art project in lockdown. Students had to research a variety of pop artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol and take inspiration from this era of work to create their own theatrical makeup response.
Pop art is a style of art based on simple, bold images of everyday items, such as soup cans, painted in bright colors. Pop artists created pictures of consumer product labels and packaging, photos of celebrities, comic strips, and animals.
Students made props, photographed their make up and digitally edited their images to further encompass the pop art theme.
We think you’ll agree they are talented students with a very bright future!!!!
