“A range of external speakers are invited in to school to work with students across all phases, one notable example being Lord Robert Winston.”

IQM Report 2017

We recognise that sixth form is about more than just academic courses. Therefore, at Christopher Whitehead Sixth Form, all students benefit from a tailored enrichment programme designed to enhance the mental wealth of our students and equip them with essential life skills by providing a regular alternative to academic study. The Wednesday afternoon enrichment programme is centred around three themes:

• Preparation for life – including Christopher Whitehead Cooking Academy and skills for independent living
• Physical health – including sport and fitness classes
• Personal development – including language classes and music

An example of typical enrichment opportunities offered:

  • Armed Man choir rehearsals
