“A range of external speakers are invited in to school to work with students across all phases, one notable example being Lord Robert Winston.”

The Impetus Programme
Today, more than ever, competition for employment and university places is fierce, with many jobs and courses oversubscribed. In this environment, universities and employers attach greater importance to applicants’ wider interests and skills. It is therefore vital that students stand out from the crowd and leave Christopher Whitehead Sixth Form with a strong personal profile.
Alongside our academic curriculum and exciting enrichment agenda, students will benefit from our Impetus programme, tailored to prepare them for the transition from sixth form to university, employment or further training and to facilitate future success.
Impetus develops desirable skills, such as independence, and gives students access to professionals and academics in all fields, according to individual requirements. Students benefit not only from first hand advice, but also from establishing connections which can open doors in the future.
