WELCOME TO CWLC SIXTH FORM!
WHY CHOOSE A-LEVEL ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE?
The course is current, it is forward thinking and it is about your future. We study important current events looking at topics such as the climate crisis and conservation. If you care about your environment locally, nationally and globally this is the course for you. It is a course that makes a real difference. This course links well with geography too. Students who enjoy a multi-disciplinary approach to learning and have a keen interest in the sustainability of our planet will find this new specification engaging and thought provoking. Included in the course are key topics include the bio-physical environment, energy resources, pollution, circular economy and sustainability. With opportunities to include real life case studies in your learning, this contemporary qualification has never been more relevant. This is a great accompaniment to A-levels in geography, biology, physics and maths and develops key skills including communication, teamwork and critical thinking.
WHY STUDY A-LEVEL ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AT CWLC?
You will be taught by passionate teachers who care about the world we live in. We have designed the course to encompass a number of local field trips to see environmental work in action, such as supporting the work of the Canals and Rivers trust at Diglis Basin. We have good links with the university of Worcester including direct routes into their Environmental Degree.
WHAT COULD YOU DO NEXT?
Do you want to work in conversation, work over seas with the NGO, become a teacher, Work for the UN or Civil service?
